I've had my best ever 60ft with BFG drag radials of 1.64,,,,best with 28x9x15 Hoosier slicks was 1.66, best with 28x10.5x15 M/T's was 1.70. What kind of car or truck do you have?
I have an '87 Buick Turbo Regal. My best 60 foot was with 11" wide MT ET Streets and it was only a 1.8. With the BFG DRs (275-50-15) I can't break 2 seconds. The transmission has a transbrake and with the ET Streets I could leave the line with 10-12 psi of boost. With the DRs it's more like 5 and the tires break loose. I run about 18psi in the DRs and 11 in the ET Streets. Any recommendations on how to set up the rear end? It's a 4-link suspension with coil springs. I've already boxed the lower control arms, added air bags to the coil springs, and put a larger pinion snubber over the differential. I believe that these modifications don't address the real problem, but I'm not sure what the answer is. Right now I have to keep the air bags as they prevent the tires from rubbing against the body.
