Test 'n tune tire rules

Just a newbie question from a newbie.  On Friday nights, are Mickey Thompson ET Streets consided street tires or slicks?

My son used to have them on his pickup, they considered them street tires as he was allowed to run the 1/4 mile.

Excellent!  I can't get decent 60' times out of my BFG Drag Radials.  Maybe the ET Streets will help.  Thanks.

I've had my best ever 60ft with BFG drag radials of 1.64,,,,best with 28x9x15 Hoosier slicks was 1.66, best with 28x10.5x15 M/T's was 1.70. What kind of car or truck do you have?

I have an '87 Buick Turbo Regal.  My best 60 foot was with 11" wide MT ET Streets and it was only a 1.8.  With the BFG DRs (275-50-15) I can't break 2 seconds.  The transmission has a transbrake and with the ET Streets I could leave the line with 10-12 psi of boost.  With the DRs it's more like 5 and the tires break loose.  I run about 18psi in the DRs and 11 in the ET Streets.  Any recommendations on how to set up the rear end?  It's a 4-link suspension with coil springs.  I've already boxed the lower control arms, added air bags to the coil springs, and put a larger pinion snubber over the differential.  I believe that these modifications don't address the real problem, but I'm not sure what the answer is.  Right now I have to keep the air bags as they prevent the tires from rubbing against the body.
